COUNTY
Pahrump is located in Nye County which covers 18,064 square miles, the largest county in Nevada and the third largest county in the U.S.A. The County Seat is located 165 miles north of Pahrump in the city of Tonopah. Due to the vast distances, the County maintains an office complex on Highway 160 in Pahrump and a newer complex located on Basin Road.
LOCATION
Pahrump is located in the southern tip of Nye County, Nevada. It is 60 miles west of Las Vegas and 60 miles east of Death Valley. The Valley is about 26 miles long and ranges from 8 to 12 miles wide. Surrounding the Valley are the Spring Mountain range to the east and the Nopah Mountains to the west.
